License Revocation

License revocation is the process of disabling or withdrawing a software license before its scheduled expiration. It is used to enforce compliance in cases such as refund issuance, policy violations, or contract terminations.

Revoked licenses are typically marked as invalid in the licensing system. If online communication is used, the software can check for revocation in real time; in offline scenarios, the system may rely on signed lists or reactivation requests to manage this process.

iLok Licensing supports revocation workflows through centralized entitlement updates and synchronization of cloud and local license states.
