Periodic License Checks

The iLok License Management Platform supports license checks for wrapped binaries. When a wrapped binary is successfully authorized, a license check will be performed periodically based on the location being used for authorization. Additional license checks may be added if needed. If a license check does not find a license, the customer can choose how the product is disabled.

Activation Experience

Customize your User Experience

The PACE Activation Experience allows you to customize the interaction the end-user has with the PACE Anti-Piracy licensing system. You are able to offer a demo of the product, or require an activation code to proceed. 

When a protected binary is launched and a valid license is not detected, the Activation Experience will communicate with our activation services  to authorize a product immediately if a license is awaiting activation in the user's iLok  account. This added convenience saves the end-user time as they don’t need to exit the launch sequence and open the iLok License Manager to activate a license. Activation occurs seamlessly in-line. As a developer, you decide if you will allow an instant demo during launch.

You can let an unlicensed user try your product by delivering a demonstration license. This is a great way to provide a seamless experience, turning potential customers into paying customers.

You may also want to enable the “Enter Activation Code” screen if you plan to distribute licenses via Activation Codes.
